Yes, Mr. Fuentes, Women Can Carry Concealed on Body All Day

February 27, 2018

“For a woman, where are you going to hide that gun during the day? If you wear a dress, if you wear a skirt, are you going to have to wear a jacket everyday with a belt and a holster the way a detective on duty would do?” — CNN law enforcement analyst Tom Fuentes

We’re having the public discussion that the Socialists asked for. How should we protect our children in schools? CNN used a former FBI Assistant Director, Tom Fuentes, to tell us that women couldn’t carry concealed to protect their children. I don’t have to call him stupid since there are many women who speak so well.

Robyn Sandoval serves as Executive Director and manages the day-to-day operations of A Girl And A Gun Shooting League. Women across the country learn the simple practice of living with a gun. A practice that has, so far, escaped Assistant Director Fuentes. Sandoval is a competitive shooter, an NRA Certified Instructor for Pistol Shooting, Home Firearm Safety, and Personal Protection in the Home. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Magna Cum Laude from St. Edward’s University. She is also a member of The DC Project.

Mrs. Sandoval said in part, “We invite Mr. Fuentes and his colleagues at CNN to become more familiar with female gun owners, our gun-carrying lifestyle, values, and abilities. Many women come into gun ownership with the primary purpose of protecting themselves. Thousands of women turn to organizations like A Girl & A Gun for holster information and responsible firearms training. We welcome them to the mindset of being their own first responders by carrying handguns and taking charge of their personal safety and the safety of their loved ones. We welcome Mr. Fuentes to learn more, too.”

Robyn was polite and professional, while my friend Kathy Jackson had fun with her answer.

Kathy Jackson is a professional firearms trainer, a small business owner, a magazine editor, a freelance writer and author.  Her work was published in Concealed Carry Magazine,Women & Guns Magazine, and SWAT Magazine, to name a few. Kathy was also the national Training Advisor for A Girl and A Gun Women’s Shooting League.

Mrs. Jackson quoted Fuentes and then took him apart piece by piece.

Quoting Jackson-

I wonder if Fuentes realizes just how common concealed carry really is? ..at least 5.8 million women have concealed carry permits now. Okay then. We’ve apparently all gone out and gotten our carry permits, but we find it literally impossible to carry … right?

For the past 18 years, I have carried nearly every day of my life. Everywhere it was legal, everywhere I could. It has changed my life in some pretty profound ways.. But it was neither impossible nor even particularly hard to do, once I made up my mind to just do it.

Big news here: cute clothes can hide a gun just as well as — or better than! — ugly ones can. But this isn’t news to you, is it?

I guess it is news to some. We’re asking CNN to offer us more than opinion, and these women know far more about the everyday practice of carrying concealed than this former FBI Assistant Director. They see women who need to carry..every day.

I’d pity the Assistant Director, but even I knew that women can carry..and I’m a guy.

As a liberal myself, people like this piss me off to no end. I don’t even own a gun myself, and I know how stupid this is. Does he think men just stick guns in their pockets or something??
Of COURSE a lot of women do CC for protection, what century is he even living in?? I’d guess that a majority of the liberals that are gun owners are women for this very reason, personal protection (I certainly have considered it myself). Saying something so CLEARLY stupid, not only pisses off women for the level of misogyny in this statement, but also every person like myself that is actually debating about this with some level of intelligence and actual knowledge, by making it easy to label the entire argument against arming teachers as ridiculous and without merit.
