Spreading Failure for Profit in California: the politics of gun control
Political failure never looks good. Failure during an election year looks particularly bad. The first thing a politician does is look for someone to blame. Socialist politicians in California decided to blame honest gun owners for the recent surge in crime. The political effects will be wonderful, while the side effects will be horrible. Watch and learn from California’s failure.
Why would California Socialists politicians spread failure and ignore success? The reasons are fairly simple. Two of California’s major Socialist controlled metropolitan areas are having a crime wave while crime rates continue to fall for the rest of the US. The local crime wave is well deserved. These California cities have long supported social policies that lead to more crime while they deliberately disarmed honest Californians. What politicians do in Los Angeles County and the San Francisco Bay Area matters to the rest of the state. Socialists will call for more of the same across these United States.
Politicians caused the surge in criminal activity. The Socialists politicians in LA and San Fran form the political power block that controls California. Locally, the political policies of Los Angeles and the Bay Area have crushed jobs. They pushed more people out of work and onto welfare. They are sanctuary cities with a flood of low skilled workers. The California border is also open for drug trafficking. No wonder the crime rate has surged in San Fran and in LA.
The political appearance is terrible. This is an election year so the Socialists can’t bear to have their failures examined. Certainly not now, and probably not ever. Socialist Politicians need a scapegoat.
Contrast LA and San Francisco with the rest of California. Ten million California residents live in a part of the state where they can own a firearm for self-defense. They can even receive a license to carry a firearm in public. The number of concealed carry holders in “Free California” is surging. That frightens the Socialist politicians.. for very good reasons. They don’t want us to notice that freedom works.
The Socialist politicians need to hide their failures that resulted in the surge in crime. They need someone to blame. Helped along by a co-operative media, the Socialist politicians blame California gun owners for the surge in crime. Socialists proposed a huge number of new gun restrictions on honest citizens. Those proposals have failed everywhere else, but they “work” for California Socialists.
Some of you are laughing already. Overall, California is ranked as one of the most restrictive states for honest gun owners. If gun control worked, then there would be no crime wave in the first place. Sadly, you’re laughing too soon. These feel-good gun control proposals will probably pass the smell test for both the liberal west coast media and for the die-hard Socialist voters. Here are a few of the bad ideas coming from the California legislature.
- To start, California Socialists want to outlaw self-loading rifles. These firearms are seldom used in crime and have been around for over a hundred years. California Socialists say guns like these kill people extra dead. That is why the police need them.. and you don’t.
- Socialist politicians want to outlaw removable magazines that hold more than 10 cartridges.. except for police. Your wife or husband only needs ten rounds to stop a bunch of armed men during a robbery.. but the police need more.
- California Socialists want you to wait 30 days between buying a gun.. even if you already own a gun. These politicians deliberately ignore the inconvenient truth that criminals don’t get their guns from gun stores. Criminals don’t submit to background checks or waiting periods.
- California only allows a certain list of handguns to be sold in the state. Other handguns are “unsafe”.. except if law enforcement buys or sells them. (They are unsafe for you, but not for law enforcement.)
- All gun sales have to be recorded on video, and all ammunition sales require registration. Most of the voters are gullible enough to think that criminals will obey these laws.
- You can’t bring your own guns across the California border.
- Victims of domestic violence must disarm if they cross onto school property. I hope their stalker doesn’t know about that.
I wish that were all of the Socialists bad ideas, but there are dozens more.
Criminals don’t follow gun laws, so these regulations have no effect on crime. These regulations make it more difficult for honest gun owners to follow the laws in California. These laws will convert more honest gun owners into inadvertent criminals. That is why these laws were passed in the first place.
Most importantly, these ineffective regulations give Socialist politicians an excuse for the surge in crime. These new regulations will give the politicians a few minutes of media exposure where they talk about stopping violent criminals with ineffective laws. Socialist politicians will certainly secure some special interest campaign cash from anti-gun groups.
These regulations will convince more conservatives that California is an unfriendly state in which to live or work. That is the purpose of this legislation. Call it cultural cleansing.. California style.

These tyrants hate freedom, liberty, personal responsibility, and private property. But the reality is that our citizens’ ownership of firearms serves as a concrete deterrent against despotism. They are demanding to hold the absolute power of life and death over you and your family. Ask the six million Jews, and the other five million murdered martyrs who perished in the Nazi death camps, how being disarmed by a powerful tyranny ended any chances of fighting back. Ask the murdered martyrs of the Warsaw Ghetto about gun control.
Their single agenda is to control you after you are disarmed. When the people who want to control you hold the absolute power of life and death over your family, you have been enslaved.
Will we stand our ground, maintaining our constitutionally guaranteed Second Amendment rights, fighting those who would enslave us?

Title 18, U.S.C., Section 241 Conspiracy Against Rights
This statute makes it unlawful for two or more persons to conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person of any state, territory or district in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him/her by the Constitution or the laws of the United States, (or because of his/her having exercised the same).
It further makes it unlawful for two or more persons to go in disguise on the highway or on the premises of another with the intent to prevent or hinder his/her free exercise or enjoyment of any rights so secured.
Punishment varies from a fine or imprisonment of up to ten years, or both; and if death results, or if such acts include kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for any term of years, or for life, or may be sentenced to death.

Deprivation of Rights Under Color of Law
This statute makes it a crime for any person acting under color of law, statute, ordinance, regulation, or custom to willfully deprive or cause to be deprived from any person those rights, privileges, or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution and laws of the U.S.
This law further prohibits a person acting under color of law, statute, ordinance, regulation or custom to willfully subject or cause to be subjected any person to different punishments, pains, or penalties, than those prescribed for punishment of citizens on account of such person being an alien or by reason of his/her color or race.
Acts under “color of any law” include acts not only done by federal, state, or local officials within the bounds or limits of their lawful authority, but also acts done without and beyond the bounds of their lawful authority; provided that, in order for unlawful acts of any official to be done under “color of any law,” the unlawful acts must be done while such official is purporting or pretending to act in the performance of his/her official duties. This definition includes, in addition to law enforcement officials, individuals such as Mayors, Council persons, Judges, Nursing Home Proprietors, Security Guards, etc., persons who are bound by laws, statutes ordinances, or customs.
