Choose the comparison and you choose the results.
If we’re trying to evaluate crime and violence between countries then we cannot cherry-pick the comparison. The old diktat of “thou shalt only compare US murder rates to the approved ‘developed’ countries” is not an objective comparison. A broader comparison shows that the US is extremely peaceful.
