The Bias Against Freedom

April 13, 2015

tip the scales

The free exchange of goods has made the world rich.  It is considered a failure because someone somewhere is poor.
Government coercion has plunged the world into ruin.  It is considered a success because someone somewhere is better off.

Talk about unfair comparisons. Please check your standards.

This reminds me of Bastiat’s tale of what is seen and not seen.
