This is What Pelosi Meant by Freedom?

September 26, 2013

Nancy Pelosi was speaker of the House when she passed Obamacare.  She said “You’ll just have to pass it to find out what is in it.”  She said government health insurance would mean liberation for the American people.  It would offer us freedom to follow our dreams.  Really, Nancy?Pelosi-Crazy-Eyes

I wasn’t dreaming about a crashing job market.  I wasn’t dreaming about exploding unemployment and expanding welfare rolls.  Maybe a few Americans thought they could get something for nothing, but not the people I know.  Speaker Pelosi, my thoughts of freedom are very different than yours.

Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom.  As nations become more corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters.  (Benjamin Franklin)

I don’t want or need a master.  That is why I hate Obamacare.  The “Affordable Care Act” was never about healthcare for the poor or lowering healthcare costs.  Obamacare grabs one sixth of the economy and drags it under control of the federal government.  Using healthcare as a club, the government will control more than a sixth of our lives.  Much more.  “Universal healthcare” will be full of exceptions to special interests, and denials to those the government wants to control.  A trivial example would be to deny healthcare to those who homeschool.  That is the Chicago way of politics after all.  Did you expect something else once you learned the corrupt and politicized IRS is responsible for enforcing Obamacare?

“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people.  It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” (John Adams)

Exactly right, but you left out the endgame…Single-payer “healthcare” with the feds as the “single payer.”

Wait until you hear, “We need to cut health care costs for the government, so now you are limited to one six pack of soda a month, and turn in your firearms. People are too fat and are shooting each other in the inner cities.”
