Good for Africa, but Not for You
We are getting more of what we asked for. President Obama is on a visit to Africa. He told Africa that electricity is vitally important to create jobs and save lives. He promised 8 billion dollars for industrialization/electrification of Africa. That is money he’ll borrow from China so our children can pay an extra 20 billion dollars in debt. 8 billion more excuses about “clean energy”. That is 8 billion dollars that private industry in the United States can’t use to expand and create jobs.
This is the same President who said that his policies must make electricity prices skyrocket here in the US. I take him at his word, and electricity prices have risen to new levels despite an abundance of natural gas. Our record debt and unemployment in the US must have been President Obama’s intent all along.
I hope our President can find some shame while he is in Africa, because he certainly needs some. Yes, elections have consequences.
