Probable Cause and a Clear Threat in Watertown?
Two terrorists set of a bomb in Boston. Police showed good muzzle discipline with some horrible exceptions. Muzzle discipline means you don’t point weapons at anything you’re not willing to kill or destroy. That is why these officers in a Boston neighborhood keep their firearms pointed down and away. Good job, gentlemen.
That is how to do it!
Then there are the frightening examples by these officers. Why are these military and police pointing weapons of war at innocent civilians without having a clear threat and an identified target? Shame on them! I would be arrested if I pointed lethal weapons at an innocent person. And these weapons will easily penetrate the clap-board walls of the houses shown in the pictures.
The answer is important. If armed police want help from civilians, for example the very civilians who ultimately found the terrorist Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, then don’t threaten civilians by using them as practice targets.
This looks like a police state. Every picture of a policeman with his weapon pointed in at an innocent civilians destroys the public trust. It certainly shakes mine.
