Daily Quote- Government Benovolence

April 1, 2012

From AWR Hawkins’ comments in the Daily Caller-

Once the right to keep and bear arms is infringed, recognition of all other rights will depend only on the benevolence of the state.

Hawkins comments on the necessity of knowing and exercising our rights so we retain our freedom of action.  I had this in my quote file for a few weeks.  It came to mind now that the SCOTUS is considering Obama Care.  There is no limit on government action once the Supremes allow Obama Care it to stand.  Any action, or inaction, could be legally construed to affect interstate commerce.
