The Thorium Molten-Salt Reactor: Why Didn’t This Happen

January 6, 2012

I posted on the history of Thorium reactor development in the US and called it Failures of the Regulatory Process.

Kirk Sorensen (picture below) does a much better job in his Google Tech Talk video- What Happened to the Development of the Thorium MSBR   He goes into wonderful historic detail and I recommend it!

Thank you, Kirk!

    Caro Rob,
Check out the email with the big Lftr dist. list on which you’ll be copied.

Although the young leader of cutting-edge research group a national lab, a brilliant PhD corrosion chemist, sincerely wants to further Lftr and the like, the answers to his questions from the Thorium Community wreak of Regulatory Risk and Political Blunders.

I can post a link to new MSR-centric Forum, where the discussion that young Dr Taylor started continues. Let me know.
